New Summer Schedule
During the summer, temperatures can rise drastically for both horses and people. We recommend dressing in light long sleeves, hats, and other sun protection to remain comfortable and frequently checking the weather. During the summer, lessons and training will be planned to end prior to predicted temperature rise of above 90 degrees to ensure safety for the horse and rider. This means the majority of our lessons and training will be early mornings and late evenings.

10 Essential Tips for Beginners
1. Know your limits but be willing to explore them
2. Dress for safety and comfort i.e boot cut jeans, flat sole heeled boots, and a well fitted equestrian helmet.
3. Have the mindset that everyone you encounter, of any age, will have a knowledge base different from your own.
4. While we strive to help with a deeper understanding, we don't know if you don't understand something unless you say something.
5. If something feels, looks, or acts wrong-say something!
6. While everyone engages with their animals in different ways, these are our personal horses thus we are highly protective of their wellbeing so please, be kind to our family.
7. We have spent MANY years and COUNTLESS time growing our education, however, that does not mean we know everything! If you have an idea of how we can improve, let us know!
8. While overall the horse's well-being generally comes first, your safety is the most important factor. This will lead us to change certain elements of our lessons and training.
9. Overall, we are here because of our love for horses and fostering these amazing relationships with horses so please, understand if we say no to something, there is likely a safety concern-related reason.
10. Most importantly, have fun, go beyond your comfort zone, and always close the gate!

We Are Building!
Arizona Performance Horses is currently in the process of building a new facility! The new facility will allow more training and lesson spots to become available to meet the current high demand. While we are eager for this to occur, we understand it can lead to some inconvenience during the adjustment period. During this time, please be understanding that we are currently scheduling around times of active building. Also, understand that building can create a bit of a physical mess, while we take all safety precautions we are able to, please be mindful of your surroundings. Essentially, if it looks dangerous, get away and say something!

Winter Schedule
During the winter, temperatures can drop drastically for both horses and people. We recommend dressing in layers that can be shed and added for comfort. The sun is still prevalent during the winter thus hats and other sun protection is still recommended to remain comfortable. During the winter, lessons and training will be planned to end prior to predicted temperature fall below 35 degrees to ensure safety for the horse and rider.
